Yolanda, Gonzalez, of Peabody, MA., formerly of Ponce, Puerto Rico, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on July 2 at the age 45 at Beverly Hospital. She was the daughter of Olga Cruz Serrano and Jose Ramon Gonzalez of Puerto Rico.  Beloved mother of Elizabeth Prieto of Lynn, MA and Steven M. Prieto of Peabody, MA.  Sister of Geraldo Gonzalez, Junito (Jose Ramon Gonzalez), Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Angel G. Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez, Maria Esther Collazo, and Olga Gonzalez Cruz.

Yolanda grew up in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  She attended Luz America Calderon in Carolina, Puerto Rico and also studied Criminal Justice at San Juan City College.  She moved to Bronx, NY in 1995 and then to Massachusetts the same year.

Since moving to Massachusetts, Yolanda lived with her children primarily in Peabody and Salem.  She was very dedicated to her friends and children.  She went to St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody.

The wake will be from the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal Street Salem on Tuesday, July 13 , 4-8pm .   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 14 at 9 am at St. John's in Peabody. She will have a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem, MA at a future date.
