William C. Foustoukos, age 84, husband of Ruth (Page) Foustoukos, of Waltham, formerly of Salem, died Sunday June 22, in the Newton Wellesley Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Salem the son of the late Christos and Sophia (Steliopoulos) Foustoukos, he was educated in Salem schools. Mr. Foustoukos graduated from Salem High School and then served two tours of duty in the European Theater of Operations with the United States Army during World War II. Following his discharge he received his Bachelor's degree in History from Boston University and then pursued his master's degree.
For many years he was employed as a machine parts salesman until his retirement. His passion in life was music enjoying folk, classical and pop. He was also an avid reader of History, and enjoyed politics, sports and crossword puzzles. His greatest joys were being around his family, children, and his many friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Foustoukos is survived by two children Alexandra P. Foustoukos and her spouse Maggie Brobeck of Salem and John M. Foustoukos and his fiancée Kim Blouin of Charlton; a brother Hercules (Kiko) Foustoukos and his wife Pat, formerly of Beverly now of Boynton Beach, Florida: and many nieces and nephews including Rev. Christopher Foustoukos of Lynnfield. Mr. Foustoukos is also survived by his companion of many years, Peggy Cogan of Waltham.
He was predeceased by two brothers Peter C. Foustoukos formerly of Peabody and Michael C. Foustoukos formerly of Ipswich.
A memorial Mass will be held on Monday July 7th at 12:10 P.M. at St. Mary's Church, 133 School St., Waltham, MA. Private family burial services will be held in August.
