William J. Brady, Jr, age 82, of Beverly died unexpectedly Monday January 10, 2011 in Beverly Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born in Manhattan, NY the son of the late William J. Brady, Sr and the late Beatrice Catherine (Melanson) Brady, he was raised and educated on the North Shore. Following his graduation from Salem High School, Mr. Brady began what would become a career of more than 50 years at Sylvania Lighting. Mr. Brady volunteered for over 50 years with the Salem High School Football
Boosters. He was also an active member A.A.R.P on the North Shore and had been elected to the Board of Directors of the Salem Chapter where he also helped lead tours for its members.
He is survived by a sister Patricia Marie Brady of St. Petersburg, FL; two Godchildren Anne Burton of Salem and Lori Gravel of Haverhill and many close friends including his "
Best Friend" Leonard J. Gravel of Salem.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be private.
