William D. "Billy" Mello, age 63 of Peabody, died unexpectedly in North Shore Medical Center, on Friday evening, June 7, 2013.
Born in Peabody the son of the late William and Theresa (Walker) Mello he was raised and educated in Peabody. Following his graduation from Peabody High School he began a long career with the Regional Waste Corporation where he had made many friends during his more than 25 years of employment.
Family was the center of his life and the Boston Bruins his passion.
Mr. Mello is survived by a sister Theresa Mello of Peabody , two brothers Anthony Mello of CA and Robert Mello of Peabody; a close friend Thomas Paras and three nephews and two nieces.
He was predeceased by a brother Sargent Eric Mello, US Army, who gave his life in the Gulf War, and a sister Ann Mello.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, June 11, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, corner of North St. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
