Warren W. Perry, 82, of Beverly, formerly of Marblehead, passed away on November 2, 2017.  He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Hazell) Perry with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Marblehead, he was the son of the late Elmer Raymond and Matilda (Welsh) Perry.

Warren retired after 30 years of working for the Town of Marblehead in the Water & Sewer and the School Departments, and in later years as a school crossing guard.

He is survived by his daughter, Jody L. Puishys and her husband Stephen of Whitinsville, MA, his son, Scott W. Perry of Beverly, two granddaughters, Hailey Benoit and Aria Perry, brother Garland Perry, and other extended family.  He also leaves his godchild Holly Smock and her sister Ashley Crimmins, who affectionately called him Grumpy.  He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Hollis and Charles and his sisters Alice Buzard and Doris Slattery.

An honorably discharged veteran, Warren served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Philanthropic Lodge F. & A.M., the Gerry #5 VFA, the Oko's VFA and the New England States Veteran Firemen's League. He was also a member of the Herman A. Spear Post 331, American Legion of Beverly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Marblehead Council of Aging or the Philanthropic Lodge F. & A.M. or your favorite charity.

Visiting hours for Warren will take place on Thursday November 16, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) Salem, MA 01970.  A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Philanthropic Lodge, 62 Pleasant St. Marblehead, MA 01945 from 12 to 4PM.
