IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Morrison
March 27, 1930 – October 5, 2022
Virginia Morrison, 92, passed away surrounded by her children on October 5, 2022. Daughter of the late Mary (Fleming) and Joseph O'Brien. Gin was married to John J. Morrison, the love of her life. Gin was proud to be part of a large Irish family who grew up on "Goat Hill" in Beverly. She was most passionate about being a mother. She loved being an active participant in all of her children's activities – especially those at Mack Park. She was the kind of Auntie who inspired memories that still make her many adult nieces and nephews' smile.
Gin loved classic movies and the T.V. show Law and Order. Jack McCoy seemed like a family member! She worked for four decades as a dedicated teacher assistant for the Salem schools. She retired from her last position at Collins Middle School.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Deb Morrison, Maureen (Morrison) Searles and husband Claude of Wells, Maine and by her son John J. Morrison III and his wife Diane of Salem. Also, by her lifelong best friend Aggie Kilduff of Salem and sister Lorraine (O'Brien) Leonard of Salem, sister-in-law Ellen and Ethelwyn Morrison of Peabody and Loretta (Morrison) Coombs of Beverly. She was the sister of late brothers Joseph, Robert, Thomas and Ralph O'Brien and the late Evelyn (O'Brien) Harrington of Beverly.
She was deeply appreciated by her family for the love and devotion she gave throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, to honor Virginia's memory, please take someone you love to lunch or extend a hand to someone in need.
Virginia's funeral service will be held privately. A celebration of her amazing life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:30am at Danversport, Waterfront Room, 161 Elliot Street, Danvers MA.
