Virginia "Ginny" B Mellus passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Masconomet Health Care Center at the age of 70. Born on September 11, 1949 to Frank and Cassie Busteed, Ginny spent her formative years in Salem. She was educated in Peabody at Bishop Fenwick High School, and she graduated from there in 1967. Two years later Ginny graduated from the Chandler School for Women, with a secretarial degree.

In September of 1970, Ginny married the love of her life, Ed Mellus. Four years later they moved their small family to Danvers where Ginny would reside for the rest of her life. Ginny found employment around the North Shore, working at various medical practices to do their scheduling, welcome patients in, and be the friendly face of the practices.

When not working Ginny loved to cook, and she loved to watch the Food Channel. Travel was another love of hers, and she loved traveling the United States. Her favorite spots were found in New Orleans, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Canadian wine country.

Ginny is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ed Mellus, her son Braun, both of Danvers; and her nieces Sheryl of San Antonio, TX, Jodie of NH, and Lorrie of IL. She was predeceased by her son, Davin, her parents Frank and Cassie Busteed, and her siblings Arnold and Janice.
