Virgina Maire Borek, 96, passed away on July 31, 2023, at Putnam Farm Assisted Living Facility in Danvers. Ginny was born in Salem, the daughter of Victoria (Wojnarowicz) and Stanley Borek of Salem, and sister of the late Joseph Borek, Frances Gonsiorawski, Wanda Borek, Stacia Zdanowicz, Alice Borek Ellis, Helen Crowley, Freda Borek, Rose Mackey and Edward Borek.

She grew up in Salem, attended Salem Public schools and graduated from Salem High School. Ginny worked for 40+ years for Sylvania on Boston St in Salem. She spent her life living in Salem and Danvers.

Ginny leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family expresses its appreciation to the staff at Putnam Farm Assisted Living Facility in Danvers for two years of care, patience, and kindness.

Following Ginny's wishes, there will be no funeral or wake. A graveside prayer service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 12pm at St. Mary's Cemetery on North St in Salem.
