Vincent T. Peluso age 96, husband of the late Cecile Mary Louise (Paquette) Peluso of Salem died Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home surrounded by his family.

Born in Portsmouth, NH, the son of the late Nicholas and Rosa ( Battafarano) Peluso he was raised and educated in Portsmouth schools. After completing his eight grade school year, Mr. Peluso became employed by the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard in New Ship Construction as well as refitting ships. Mr. Peluso later joined Stride Rite Shoes in Boston, where he was employed until "retiring" only to keep working at the Warren 5 Bank in Peabody for several more years.

His natural skills as an artist were constantly manifested in his passion for wood carvings. An amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather he constantly gave good advice both solicited and unsolicited. A devoted and loving husband and family man he believed in always keeping life simple.

Mr. Peluso is survived by two daughters, Janet Dubois and her husband Paul of Salem and Nancy Eleanor Peluso of Medford; two grandchildren Michael B. Fritz and his wife Donna of Salem and Andrew T. Fritz and his fiancé Josiane Martins of Melrose; three great grandchildren Jake Fritz, Sophia Fritz and Jacqueline Fritz; two sisters in law Teresa Raby of Chelmsford and Eleanor Costello of Peabody and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Dominic and Joseph Peluso .

His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St.(cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
