It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Josue Portillo Barrios, who passed away on August 29, 2026.

Victor was a beloved father, partner, son, brother, and friend. Above all, he was a devoted father to his two children, Melany and Josue, who were a deeply cherished part of his life. His love for his children will remain one of the most enduring parts of his legacy, and they will carry his memory with them throughout their lives.

Victor is lovingly remembered by his partner, Monica, who shared precious moments and memories with him. His love and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those closest to him.

He leaves behind his father, Oscar, and his wife, Kathy, along with their two sons, Kevin and Oscar. Victor is also survived by his mother, Leonor, and her three daughters, Maylin, Diana, and Estefany. His family bond was an important part of his life, and the memories they created together will always be treasured.

Victor also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and carry his memory in their hearts.

Victor touched the lives of many people with his presence, his kindness, and the memories he created with those around him. Although his family and friends must now face the pain of his absence, the love they shared with him will never disappear.

His children, family, and loved ones will continue to carry Victor in their hearts. He will be remembered not only for the years he was with them, but for the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched.

Victor may no longer be with us in person, but his memory will live on through his children and everyone who loved him.

A funeral service will be held on Wedneday September 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home,85 Federal St. Salem, MA 01970. Visting hours will be held prior to from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in his beloved homeland of Guatemala, where he will return to be with his family and roots. May he rest in eternal peace.
