Thomas Francis Sheehy, 72, originally from Beverly, passed away at his home on Oct. 1, 2014 following 6 1/2 years of living with ALS. His birthday would have been in 22 days. Tom was the son of Thomas F. Sheehy and Maura (Kelley) Sheehy and beloved husband of Leonora (Caruso) Sheehy for over 46 years.
Tom was survived by his son Thomas F. Sheehy and his wife Mindy of Newburyport, Kerry and her husband Bobby Ward of Swampscott. Tom was the adored "Granda" of Hannah and Katherine, Ryan Thomas and Samantha.
Tom will always be remembered as a kind and caring soul and above all, a gentleman.
In lieu of flowers, Tom would have like those who knew and loved him to perform an act of kindness to someone in his memory.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 7, at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. At the family request there will be no visiting hours.
