Beverly – Thomas F. Crowley, age 88 years, loving husband of the late Ursula J. (Giacoppo) Crowley who passed in July of 2016, passed away at Beverly Hospital on Monday, October 3, 2016. He was the son of the late Mary (Brennan) Crowley and the late John Crowley. Thomas was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School in the class of 1946. Following High School, he started working at General Electric until he joined the United States Navy and served his country for four years during the Korean War and an additional two years in the National Guard.
Following his Military enlistment, he returned to work at General Electric and married his beloved wife Ursula in 1964, and shared 52 loving years together. He was employed with GE for forty-two years retiring in 1988.
Mr. Crowley love music and his favorite was jazz, classical and big band music. One of his greatest enjoyments was going out to eat and he was very generous. But most especially, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving him are two children, Katherine Mary Creane and her husband Blaise of Salem; John Patrick Crowley and his wife Eileen (Gauthier) Crowley of Beverly, his grandson Christopher Paul Nadeau and granddaughter Erin Katherine Creane.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday October 6, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St.) Salem, MA 01970.
