Chelsea- Theresa Mary Belanger (91) of Chelsea passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday May 26, 2019 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. Born in Salem, Theresa was the daughter of the late Mary and Alphonse Beaupre.

Growing up in Salem, Theresa attended Salem High School, where she went onto graduate from and later work for FW Woolworth and Salem State University. Theresa later met the love of her life Henry Belanger as they got married and started a family here in Salem.

Theresa loved to knit and sew with her friends. She was also an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church here in Salem. Theresa will be remembered as a loving wife and mother to her family.

Theresa leaves behind: her daughter Joy Daley of Rowlett, TX, her son Paul Belanger and his wife Teri Groome of Boston; her grandchildren Paul Daley of Kyle, TX, Megan Westbrook of Waxahachie, Texas, and Katy Belanger of Burlington, MA; her great- grandchildren Donovan Ban of Burlington, MA, Cole and Jovi Daley of Kyle, TX, and Haley and Hannah Westbrook of Waxahachie, TX; her sibling Alphonse Beaupre and his wife June of Haverhill, MA, and her sister-in-law Theresa Beaupre of Beverly, MA. Theresa is predeceased by her loving husband Henry Belanger as well as her siblings Elizabeth, Irene, and Alfred.

Visiting hours will take place on Friday May 31, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. The memorial service will be held following the visiting hours on Friday May 31, 2019 beginning at 12:30 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home.
