Tadius "Ted" Sadoski, age 91, loving husband of Lorraine (Trasher) Sadoski, died Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his family. Ted was born in Salem to the late Joseph and Baldwina (Rutkowska) Sadoski. He was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1940 and was a life long resident of Salem.

While attending college, Ted entered his military career in the Cadet Program. He entered active duty in 1943 in the Army Air Corp and served his country during WW II. Lieutenant Sadoski was overseas in the 454th Bomb Group and stationed in Italy from mid-September of 1944 to mid-April 1945. He completed 35 sorties with 5 as Group Lead Navigator. Following his discharged in 1945, Ted obtained his Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and continued his education, receiving his MBA from Suffolk University.

He built his career in the lighting industry and was employed with Sylvania for over 23 years retiring in 1986. During his career, he had several patents listed in his name for developing new ideas in the lighting field.

As a member of the Wenham Country Club, Ted enjoyed golf with his family and friends. He was a longtime fan of all the Boston Sports Teams. Ted was a 10 year member of the City of Salem Planning Board. His greatest joy was time spent with his loving wife and extended family.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are his four children, Donald Sadoski and his wife Darleen of Salem, Judith Sadoski of Keene, NH, Richard and Diane Sadoski of Nashua, NH, Carol Duffy and her husband Sean of Nashua, NH; one brother, Stanley "Alec" Sadowski of Colorado; his sister in law Carol Smith and her husband Ron of Portsmouth, NH, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Frank, Charlie, Matthew, Walter, Edward and Henry Sadoski and Alice Stankiewicz.

His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2 Margin St., Peabody on Saturday September 13, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem prior to the Mass from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
