Mr. Steven W. Manry, 66, passed away Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, MA. He Is survived by his loving wife G. Hannah Stringer.

Steven was born in Bradford, PA on November 25, 1944, the son of the late William P. Manry and mother, Dorette D. Manry. The family resided in Rochester New York. Steven attended the Hill School, Pottstown, PA., 1958-1962. Following graduation he went on to Lehigh University 1962-1967 where he graduated with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He was a proud member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. After college Steve worked for such companies as RCA, Data General, Datcom, Ikegami Electronics and PSDI.

Steve got his love of sailing from his many summers spent at Camp Tonset In Orleans, MA as both a camper and later as a counselor through college. He was also an accomplished pilot but gave this up due to his love of sailing. He purchased the Guppy III, Hunter 27 sailboat, 1979-2011; May, 2011 he purchased the Guppy III, Mainship 30 power boat. He truly had the most wonderful summer in Marblehead Harbor on his beloved Guppy III. Steve was a member of the Dolphin Yacht Club, 1979-1994; and then the Boston Yacht Club 1995-present.; both yacht clubs reside in Marblehead, MA.

Steve was a staunch Reagan Conservative and loved to talk politics. He welcomed a great debate and would share his point of view with others at any opportunity. He had a photographic memory that served him well through life, and was a passionate fan of both the Patriots and Red Sox and could tell you detailed statistics for whatever was discussed.

Besides his loving wife and mother, Steve is survived by a son Steven W. Manry Jr. and his wife Katie of Bethlehem, PA, a daughter Jennifer Manry Fetzer and her husband Bryan of Hellertown, PA; a sister Shannon Manry Bielaska and her husband Matthew of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren Jacquelyn and Bryanna Fetzer of Hellertown, PA; a great grandchild Riley Austin Coyne; a niece Meredith Bielaska, a nephew Mark Bielaska and his wife Stephanie and their children Grace, Avan, and Emery.

A celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
