Stephen R. Femino, age 80 son of the late John and Ann (Mangafreda)
Femino, both formerly of Salem, died Saturday evening October 29, 2011 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a long illness.

Born and Raised in Salem, Stephen was a veteran of the United States
Marine Corps and had graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in
1956. Stephen worked as a commercial artist and Art Director at Bresnick
and Typographic House in Boston for 30 years and ran a successful business of his historic home in Beverly, preserving wedding bouquets (Bridal Bouquets and Collages) for over 30 years.

Stephen won numerous awards for his typeface designs including the
prestigious New York Type Face Award in 1972. He is the only artist ever
to be invited to display his preserved floral designs at the Massachusetts
Horticultural Society's annual spring flower show for over a decade in
the late 1970,s and 80's.

Predeceased by his late beloved wife of 31 years, Elizabeth (Kako)
Femino, he is survived by his two sons, David A Femino of Beverly and
Christopher S Femino formerly of Beverly now of Danvers. Stephen
also leaves behind his beloved grandson Moses Femino and his extended
family, Edda, and Edwin Mbugua and Purity Njeri Femino, along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Phillip Femino and a sister Leah (Trogler) Shea

His funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM in the Church of the
Nazarene, 556 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915. Relatives and friends are
respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 PM
to 8PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St)
Salem. Interment will be in Central Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flower,
memorial donations are requested to the Stephen Femino Memorial Fund, c/o Marblehead Bank, Attn Susan Osborne, P.O Box 27, Marblehead, MA 01945.
