Obituary

Stephen F. Baker, age 57, husband of Deborah (Craig) Baker of Hamilton, died on Thursday September 12, 2013 at North Shore Medical Center, Salem following a courageous four year battle with cancer.

Born in Boston the son of William Baker of Essex and Patricia (Slager) Baker of Beverly, he was raised and educated in Beverly, attending St. John the Evangelist elementary school and graduated Bishop Fenwick High School in the Class of 1974. Since attending North Shore Community College he has most recently been employed by District 8 Global Services.

Devoted to his family, he was an avid Boston sports fan who enjoyed golfing with friends and sailing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by five children, Jeffrey S .Baker of Amsterdam, Adrienne E. Baker of Salem, Corey R. Baker of Beverly, and Joselinne E. Baker and Mayana E. Baker both of Hamilton; three siblings Karen A McNamara of Beverly, Mark E. Baker of West Newbury and Christopher W. Baker of Lawrence and a large extended family.

A memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, September 16, 2013, at 9:00 AM at The Church of St. Paul's 50 Union St. Hamilton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Sunday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St.. Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joselinne and Mayana Baker Family Trust, c/o Salem 5 Bank, 2 Bay Rd, Hamilton, MA 01982 or to the Sarcoma Research Fund, c/o Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, 165 Cambridge St, Suite 600 Boston, MA 02114.
