IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley Ray
Tedford
September 30, 1945 – September 28, 2021
Stanley Ray (Stan) Tedford passed away in the early morning of September 28, 2021 after a long journey with Parkinson's Disease.
Stan was a loving husband and father who enjoyed traveling with his family, from early camping trips with his daughters to family vacations when they were adults. Stan especially delighted in his beloved granddaughter, Emily, and spent many hours making memories with her.
Stan attended both Sterling College and Kansas State University. He started his career as a computer operator, and mostly self-taught, he worked his way up to computer programmer and systems analyst. In his retirement, he spent his time reading, watching classic television shows, and doing word puzzles. Playing Yahtzee and "Play Nine" with his family was a favorite pastime. Stan was an avid country music fan and also enjoyed horseback riding when on vacation with other riding fans in the family.
Stan is predeceased by his parents, Louis E. Tedford and Anne Lupfer Tedford. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Janice E. Hopkinson Tedford, his two daughters Candice Tedford Pierce and Angela Tedford Doucet, and by his granddaughters, Emily Rae Magoon and Desiree M. Bacon. He is also survived by his two sons-in-law, Peter M. Pierce and Michael W. Doucet. He is survived by his brother, Steven Tedford of Kansas, and his sister, Peggy Tedford Mukai of Maryland.
A memorial service will be held for Stan at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Stan's name to either the Parkinson's Foundation or The Michael J. Fox Foundation. For more information or online guestbook, please visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com or call 978-744-0497.
