Shirley Ann (Reagan) Saxonis, age 84 wife of the late Peter W. Saxonis, died unexpectedly Monday, April 1, 2013 at home.
Born in Salem, the daughter of the late David and Daisy ( Grant) Reagan, she attended Salem schools. A devoted wife and mother, she loved her family. Mrs. Saxonis was a great cook and well known for her baking and cake decorating. She also enjoyed classic movies, visiting her son in Albany and going on day trips in and around New England.
She is survived by a son William "Bill" Saxonis of Albany, NY; two brothers, Ronald Reagan of Beverly and David Reagan of Lynn and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Janice Reagan.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 9:45 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 290 North St, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Salem. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
