On, March 21, 2023, Sean R. Fenton, beloved son, grandson, brother and friend passed away at the age of 39 in San Diego, CA. Sean was born, a triplet, on May 9, 1983, in Salem, Massachusetts to his beloved parents Paul V. and Jodie A. Fenton. Sean leaves behind his brother Patrick R. Fenton of Sausalito, CA and his sister Maryann Fenton Taggart of Janesville, WI.
Sean attended Marblehead Public schools until the sixth grade, Landmark school until ninth grade. After graduating high school from The Tampa Tennis Academy in Tampa, FL., Sean received a scholarship to play division one tennis and attended the University of Denver.
Besides his parents, Paul and Jodie, and siblings Patrick and Maryann. Sean is survived by his maternal grandmother, Domenica (Antonuccio) Ingemi of Salem, his brother-in-law, Ian and his nephews Clark Fenton, Scott Parker, and Blake Joseph Taggart of Janesville, WI. He is also survived by his beloved, "Auntie" Ann Ingemi and uncle David Kapoll of Marblehead and their daughters, Allison Kapoll of Newburyport, Elaine Kapoll and Laura Kerr of Marblehead. His beloved Aunt, Elizabeth Fenton Freitas and her daughter, Sarah Brown. Aunts and Uncles Stephen Ingemi of Salem, Peter and Debbie Ingemi of Beverly, Marie and James Buckley of Salem, Laurie Fenton of Gloucester, Steven and Sharon Fenton of Beverly, Daniel and Monique Valcour of France, and many cousins and friends. Sean was predeceased by is Grandmother Susan A. (Maguire) Fenton of Ipswich, Grandfathers Paul V. Fenton Sr. of Ipswich and Stephen C. Ingemi of Salem, uncles Thomas Fenton and Jon Freitas and cousin Michael Fenton all of Ipswich.
Sean was a wonderful athlete and excelled at every sport he decided to play. He loved tennis and golf where he achieved, as a sophomore in high school, the best athlete award for golf and tennis of the New England Private Schools. He played league hockey and baseball and trained for freestyle skiing with US Olympic team in Lake Placid, NY. He loved to surf all across the country. Sean was a surface miner for an aggregate company before his death.
Sean will be remembered for his love of God, family, friends, and life.
His funeral will be on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem, MA 01970 with reception to follow at Salem Country Club, 133 Forest St, Peabody, MA 01960
