Sarah was born on February 19, 1985 in Colorado Springs, CO and had lived in Downtown Salem since 1987. She attended St. John the Evangelist School in Beverly and graduated from The Cambridge School of Weston in Weston, MA. She went on to attend Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
Sarah is the mother of Alessandro and Esme, ages 5 and 3. She is married to Alessandro Mejia of Salem. She is survived by her parents David Pelletier and Tracy Lawrence of Salem; and brothers Matthew and Alexander Pelletier of Salem. Sarah is also survived by many aunts and uncles and her maternal grandmother JonAnn Lawrence, of Salem, Oregon.
Sarah was a happy, beautiful, intuitive, and outgoing girl who loved life. She was extremely well read and had many intellectual interests. Sarah was one of the first of many children to be raised and grow up in a revitalized Downtown Salem. She loved ballet, music and travel. Sarah was a wonderful mother and a caring daughter and sister. Her life goal was to help others in difficult circumstances.
Sarah's many friends are invited to celebrate her life.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21, at 7pm at St. Michaels Episcopal Church, 26 Pleasant St, Marblehead, MA. A reception and celebration of Sarah's life will follow at the church. Flowers are welcome, but the family requests that guests bring a birthday card to honor what would have been Sarah's 29th Birthday. These cards will be given to her children as a memorial to their mother. Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.
