Sandra A. "Sandi" (Bettencourt) Lent age 63, longtime companion of James Silva, died early Monday morning in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers following a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Peabody, she was born in the former J.B, Thomas Hospital, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Madruga) Bettencourt. Following her graduation from Peabody High School, Sandi became a hairdresser until becoming employed in the Shipping/Receiving department of Kmart. She was later employed by Caldor and had retired from Target. Over the years she had also worked as a part-time bartender in local restaurants.
Although she had enjoyed playing Bingo, Sandi was a homebody and loved working her yard and tending to her flower gardens. She loved her side kick and No. 1 dog "Marshall" who was usually at her side.
Mrs. Lent is survived by a son Frank Lent of Peabody, a brother Frank Bettencourt and his wife Connie of Bradenton, FL and many nieces and nephews.
