Samson Osayamen Aroko, age 55, husband of Faith (Osaigbovo) Aroko, died Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long illness.
Born in Benin City ,Edo State ,Nigeria, the son of the late Chief Izedomwen and the late Victoria Imieromuiye Idahosa, he was raised in Nigeria where he attended local schools and was graduated from Eghosa Boys High School. Following his graduation, emigrated to the United States and was graduated from Mississippi State College.
Mr. Aroko began his career with the United States Postal Service at their Distribution Center in North Reading where he was employed for several years. During that career he found his true passion working as a Human Services Councilor for the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers. He had become a Supervisor At the time of his illness.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Aroko is survived by his four children, Michelle, Mildred , Edward and Evan Aroko all of Salem. One of 16 children he is survived by his brother and two sisters, Moses Aroko, Deaconess Aihie and Elizabeth Owegie all of Nigeria.
His fu Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Grace Episcopal Church, Essex St., 385 Essex St Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
