Sally Ann Gould, age 83, of Salem, MA, and formerly of Ossipee, NH, and West Peabody, MA, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. Born on October 8, 1942, in Rochester, New Hampshire, Sally was a cherished mother, grandmother, friend and touched the lives of those who knew her.

Sally grew up in Ossipee, New Hampshire, and was the beloved daughter of the late Evelyn H. (Horne) Schoonmaker and Weld D. Schoonmaker, Sr. of Ossipee, NH. She was the sister of the late Weld Day Schoonmaker, Jr., lovingly known as “Schoonie,” of Wolfeboro, NH. Sally attended Brewster Academy and later pursued her passion for art by studying watercolor and design at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her creativity and artistic talent were evident in all that she did, leaving an impression on those around her.

Sally was an avid watercolorist, gardener, photographer, and lover of books and music. She also had a passion for traveling abroad, exploring new cultures, and finding inspiration for her art. Sally loved cooking and hosting dinner parties, where she brought people together with her delicious meals and warm hospitality. She found immense joy in spending time at the family lake house in Melvin Village on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, where she created cherished memories with family and friends.

Sally is survived by her loving sons, Christopher M. Gould of Manchester, NH, and Gregory C. Gould of Braintree, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Allysa M. Gould and Samantha P. Gould of Manchester, NH, and devoted partner of Hilary A. Doliber of Salem, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Weld, and her brother, Schoonie. Sally will also be missed by her cherished cats, Isabella, Rose, and Vivian, who brought her endless comfort and companionship, as well as her beloved dog, Moorea.

A celebration of Sally’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Sally’s memory to The Loon Preservation Committee in Moultonborough, NH at www.loon.org/donate and/or the MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter at www.MSPCA.org/donate-now/

Sally’s legacy of love, kindness, creativity, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed but never forgotten.
