Ruth B. Brennan (Wheelock), 87, Wednesday November 3, 2021. With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to our mother as she joins our father in eternal rest. Dad has been waiting 20 years to be reunited with the love of his life. Born and raised in Salem, Ruth was the daughter of the late Blanche (Guy) and Frank G. Wheelock.

Ruth was most proud of her 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was extremely active in their lives; never missing a game, recital or any other major event.  Ruth also loved spending as much time as she could in her community. Her career spanned more than 25 years in different roles in the Salem Public School System. Most recently at Collins Middle School where she had many dear friends and fond colleagues. Ruth was an active member in the Garden Club, the Knitting Club at St. Thomas Church, the Heritage Day Committee, the Girl Scouts, and the Special Olympics. She had many, many close and special friends as she had such a giving nature and she will be dearly missed.

Ruth is predeceased by her husband Lawrence J. Brennan of Salem. She is survived by her sister June Beaupre and her husband Al of Beverly; her 6 children Frank Brennan and his wife Susan of Venice, FL, Scott Brennan and his wife Cindy of West Newbury, Lonnie Brennan and his wife Dianne of Georgetown, Heidi Begin and her husband Bill of Georgetown, Holly Sheehan and her husband John of Danvers, and Kelly Termini and her husband John of Glen Allen, VA. 14 grandchildren; Tricia Murphy, Ryan, Courtney, Drew, Sam, Luke, Wesley, Elyse, and Kinsey Brennan. Zach Begin, Kaitlyn Clarke, Melissa Englehardt, Ian, and Tripp Termini. 7 great-grandchildren Braeden, Sean, Scarlett, Hailey, and Luke Murphy, Isabella Stokes and Cameron Clarke; many nieces and nephews and so many amazing and close friends.
