Ruth Fraser, age 86, passed away in Peabody on December 22, 2015. The daughter of the late Michael and Anne (Delaney) Anderson and wife of the late Robert Fraser, Ruth was raised and educated in Salem where she graduated from Salem High School in 1946. She then attended The Salem Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated as an RN in 1949. Following graduation she was employed at Salem Hospital in the operating room for over 25 years until her retirement. Ruth was an active member of the Vittori Rocci Post in Beverly.

She is survived by her five children: Mark Fraser and his wife Mary Ellen of Middleton, MA, Anne Sweet and her husband Robert "Buddy" Sweet of Rowley, MA, Peter Fraser of Cambridge, England, Robert Fraser Jr. and his wife Eileen "Dee Dee" Fraser of Wilmington, NC and Dana Fraser and his wife Lisa of Swampscott. Ruth is also survived by ten Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 27, 2015 from 3PM to 7PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem, MA 01915. Her Funeral will take place on Monday December 28 at 10AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St. Peabody, MA.
