Rose (Cassidy) Morin, age 83, died Saturday evening January 16, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Anna (Gill) Cassidy. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she lived most of her life in Salem and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School.

Ms. Morin was employed with GTE Sylvania for 42 years, retiring in 1993. Following her retirement she continued her employment with Salem Hospital as a casual filer. She enjoyed walking, traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. She volunteered in the 1980's at the Inn Between and Haven From Hunger both in Peabody and the Red Cross in Salem.

Surviving her are her children, Patricia Morin of Salem, Robert Morin of Beverly and John Cassidy of Greenfield. Three grandchildren, Robert Morin of Salem, Matthew Morin and his wife Jackie of Peabody and Chantel Rose of Beverly, and her great grandchildren, Michael and Tyler Pinto, Emilee Natashia Morin and Ella Morin and many dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary (Tarascio) McKinnon formerly of Alaska, a brother John Tarascio formerly of Connecticut a brother Thomas Tarascio formerly of Salem and her daughter in law Mary Morin formerly of Beverly..

Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (Cor of North St) Salem on Wednesday January 20, 2016 from 3 to 7 P.M. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be held privately. A public Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the fall.
