Rosario "Ross" L. Puleo, Jr., age 72, husband of Janet M. (Archambault) Puleo, died Wednesday morning, July 28, 2010 at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. Ross was born in Salem, son of the late Rosario L. and Philomena (Pardo) Puleo, Sr. Ross was a retired US Navy decorated Vietnam Veteran. He served his country for 20 years and was stationed in Vietnam from 1972 to 1973. He was a Lawrence Business man for 30 years. Ross was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are one son, Rosario "Guy" L. Puleo, III of Lowell and his grandson Rosario "Sonny" L. Puleo IV; his granddaughter, Danielle and her husband Alex DosSantos; his great granddaughter, Alyssa; and his brothers and sisters, Lucy Corcoran , John Quartarone, Frank Puleo, and Grace Puleo. He was also the father of the late Diane P. Elliott and brother of the late Rockie Scarfino, Joseph Quartarone, Lawrence "Sonny" Puleo, Margaret Turcott, Jennie Marmen, Angelina Kaminski and Mary Garro
Funeral Services will be held privately at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor. Of North St.) in Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts, Rm. 546, State House, Boston, MA 02133-1042.
