SALEM- Ronald Francis Andrews Sr. (75) passed away on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at his home in Salem. Born in Lynn, Ronald was the son of the late Helen (Murray) and Harold Andrews. Growing up, Ronald lived in Saugus and later on in Peabody where he formed lifelong friendships as a member of the Suntaug Gang. After graduating from Peabody High School, Ronald entered the Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea off the coast of Vietnam at Yankee Station.

Upon his return home, Ronald married his former late wife Pamela (Niland). They raised their family of four children in Peabody together. During that time, Ronald worked for both Prolarizer in Everett as a crane operator and Strogoff Trucking in Chelsea. Ronald was committed to providing for his family and taking care of those inside and outside of his home. He was generous with his time and humor as many remember him for the laughs he provided.

Outside of his work, Ronald had a passion for cars. He was the proud owner of a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang and enjoyed "formally" racing it at the Kennedy Speedway and also "informally" down Route 128. As an avid sports fan he loved all his Boston Sports teams, especially the Bruins. Above all, Ronald will be dearly missed by all who knew him as he left an impact on the lives around him.

Ronald is survived by: his sons Ronald Francis Andrews Jr., Jason Murray Andrews and his wife Dawn, Jonathan Niland Andrews, his daughter Elizabeth Constance Lemelin and her husband Brian; his grandchildren Savannah Marie Andrews, Madyson Mae Andrews, and Hunter Patrick Lemelin; his siblings Gail LeBlanc, Harold "Chad" Andrews and his wife Joann; and his brother in law Stephen Champaigne. He was also the beloved "Uncle Ronnie" to his many nieces and nephews. Ronald is predeceased by his former wife Pamela Niland, his sister Joyce Famico and his brotherin law Robert "Bobby" LeBlanc.

Visiting hours will take place on Monday February 27, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. Graveside services will follow from the funeral home at Greenlawn Cemetery 57 Orne St. Salem, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled Veterans of America P.O.
