SALEM- Rodanthe "Rosa" (Prezas) Viglas (66) passed away after a long battle with illness on Friday August 28, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Agrinio, Greece Rosa was the daughter of Alexandra and the late Kostadinos Prezas.

After moving to Salem, Rosa opened her business "Alterations by Rosa" and became a Staple in Salem for 30 years. Her passion was her work and her customers as she made friendships that lasted lifetimes and changed the lives of all she came in contact with. As her passion was her work, her heart was her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, cooking for her family, and attending church with loved ones. Above all, Rosa will be remembered for her selflessness and care for others. Rosa was the matriarch in her family and gave every ounce of her love to them.

Rosa is survived by: her daughter Alexia Meechin and her husband Ryan; her grandchildren Sophia, Adriana, and Olivia Meechin; her brother Vasilios Prezas; her sisters Yianna Lambris and Lambrini Karageorgopoulos; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosa is predeceased by her son Andrew.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM at. St. Vasilios Church, located at 5 Paleologos St, Peabody, MA 01960.
