Robert Warren Gray, 76, of Lynnfield died on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Pilgrim Rehab Nursing Home in Peabody. He was the loving husband to Ellen Becker-Gray with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.

Born in the Mary Alley hospital in Marblehead, MA on November 25, 1945, Rob graduated from Marblehead High School in 1963. He was a true Marbleheader who loved his town.

He served in Vietnam for two years and returned home to serve for two years in the Army Reserve. An avid theater lover, he worked on many sets and designed many theatrical productions. Rob was a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and served on its Board. He also had a career as an actor, at times working with his wife, Ellen.

In addition to his wife, Rob is survived by son Tim Gray and his partner Carla King, and grandfather to Marissa Gray; son Christopher Gray and his partner Mary Barbosa. He is also survived by sisters, brothers and in-laws: Matia Angelou and David Osmond, David Becker and Jackie Belf-Becker, Susan and John Grant, Chuck Becker and Susan Pevear and many nieces and nephews. Special to him were Josh, Rachel, Jamie, and Gianna.

Robert is predeceased by his twin brother, Reverend Richard W. Gray, and sister-in-law Elaine, survived by Thomas E. Gray and his son, and sister-in-law April Gray and her children.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Waterside Cemetery in Marblehead. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
