Rilda P. Seletz

Rilda Daigle Parker Seletz passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, at the age of 95, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and caregivers.

Rilda was born in Fort Kent, Maine, in 1931 and graduated from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in 1951. She was predeceased by her husbands, C. Elwood Parker, DMD, and Jules M. Seletz, MD, with whom she shared 27 happy years of marriage until his death in 2012. Rilda and Jules shared many adventures together including hiking the 48 over 4,000 in New Hampshire, sailing around the tip of South America, and exploring Europe while stationed in Germany.

Rilda was known for her kindness, her love of family, and her sense of humor, which she kept until the end. She loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and writing heartfelt letters to friends and family.

Rilda is survived by her daughters, Patricia Parker and her daughter Dakota Smith, and Susan Parker and her children Jason, Bradley and Jessica, and Alyssa Isaacson and her family; and by Carl, Jay, and Andrew Seletz, together with their wives and children; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews, Christine Polischuk, Kay Piersol and her husband and children, Susan Kenyon and her husband and children, Bob Paradis, Claire Slater and her husband and children, and Darlene Paradis.

Rilda's family would like to thank all of her caregivers at Elderly Caregivers and Home Instead, with special thanks to Pertunia and Angela for their loving care.

A funeral service will be private. A celebration of life will take place at a date yet to be determined.
