Richard H. Morrison, age 63, of Salem died unexpectedly at home early December 25, 2011. He and his loving wife, Maureen (McNeill) Morrison have enjoyed 20 years of marriage and life together.

Born in Boston, the son of the late Arthur D. and Rita F. (Curtis) Morrison he was raised and educated in Somerville. Upon his graduation from the Somerville Trade School, he joined the Electrician's Union, I.B.E. W. Local 103 and had worked locally for over 25 years until his retirement.

Mr. Morrison was an avid fisherman, enjoying both salt water and freshwater fishing. He also enjoyed his vegetable garden and helping his wife Maureen with her flower garden at home. More recently he had become active with Operation Troop Support and the American Legion, helping to provide support for the US Troops.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children; Richard Morrison and his wife Kathleen of Manchester, NH; Christine Morrison of Braintree; Lynne St. Andre and her husband Marc of Charlestown; one brother, Arthur Morrison and his wife Shirley of Sparks, NV; two sisters, Dorothy Gerrin of Revere; Patricia Hart of Marblehead; two grandsons, Timothy John Dutcher and Justin James Dutcher both of Braintree; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Morrison's funeral will be from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (cor. Of North Street) Salem, MA on Friday at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, 292 Jefferson Ave, Salem at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately.
