Richard N. Lemelin age 54, husband of Linda A. (Cox) Lemelin, of Salem died in North Shore Medical Center, Salem, Friday evening, March 9, 2012.
Born, raised and educated in Salem, the son of the late Robert G. and Lucy (Morin) Lemelin, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 20. During his service Mr. Lemelin had trained as an Aircraft Weapons Specialist. Following his discharge, he trained at the Andover Tractor Trailer School and had been a local truck driver until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa A. Lemelin of Salem; a step-daughter, Desirae Payano of Peabody; 3 brothers, Robert E. Lemelin and his wife Carolann of Salem, Michael B. Lemelin of Taunton, and Charles C. Lemelin and his wife Julie of CT; 2 sisters, Diane L. Zubiel of NH and Laurie Chouinard of Salem and her two children Nicole and Eric.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.
