Salem…
Richard C. Eveleth, 71, of Salem, son of the late Anne Comeau and Francis Eveleth, died on Saturday, June 16, 2007 in his home surrounded by his family, after a two year battle with cancer.
A widower after the death of his wife Rochelle in 1973, Richard was left to raise his two teenage boys and his nine year old daughter. He was truly a remarkable father. He leaves behind his love of twenty four years Marjorie Wright, who was with him until the very end. Richard was a leader to his entire family and a constant source of strength to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was more than a father to his children; his boys were his best friends and his daughters, daddy's little girls. He will be remembered for his honesty, candid humor, tremendous work ethic, generosity, and most of all his unfailing love and dedication to family. He was an adored partner, father, brother, father, uncle, and grampy.
In addition to Marjorie Wright, Richard is survived by three sons, Ronald Eveleth, Robert Eveleth, and James Wright all of Salem; two daughters Robin Eveleth and Dawn Marie Pearson both of Salem; three Sisters Lillian Critio of Revere, Ruth Ford of New Hampshire, and Elizabeth Eveleth of Danvers; eight Grandchildren, Marie Ann Pramataris, Jessica Eveleth, Kendra Ritter, Jacob Eveleth, Robert Eveleth, Jr., Amanda Eveleth, Justin Eveleth, and Jennifer Eveleth. He also leaves ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Robert Eveleth and his sister Helen Reed.
The Family is asking that Donations be made to The Richard Eveleth Memorial Fund (all proceeds are to benefit the North Shore Medical Cancer Center Walk), c/o Eastern Bank, attn.
