Richard Carvino, age 61, husband of Laurene (Walsh) Carvino, died early Sunday morning, March 16, 2014 surrounded by loved ones at his home. Born in Cambridge, Mr. Carvino was the son of Mary (Macedo) Carvino of Somerville and the late Anthony Carvino.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are, his son Richard Carvino Jr. and his wife Kelli of Fort Worth, TX, his daughter Lauren Carvino of Salem and his son Daniel Carvino and his wife Amy of Gloucester, MA. Brother of Deborah Langlais of Georgetown, MA and James Carvino and his late wife Leah of Peabody, MA. Loving grandfather to Quincy, Anthony, Nicholas and Brady. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carvino earned his associate's degree from Franklin Institute. He worked as a service manager and after acquiring his CDL, he drove a tractor trailer for over 30 years. In his free time he loved reading tarot and studying Wicca but more than anything he loved working on and riding his motorcycle.
Mr. Carvino's Graveside Services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St., Salem on Thursday at 11:00 A_.M. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem onWednesday , March 19, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
