Rebecca "Beki" Francis Ferrari

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca "Beki" Francis Ferrari, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, at the age of 41. Beki left us on August 24, 2026, in Salem, Massachusetts, where she had made her home and touched the lives of many. Born on January 21, 1985, in Berryville, Arkansas, she spent her early years in Eureka Springs before moving to the South Side of Chicago, Brookfield, and finally settling in Salem.

Beki pursued her passion for helping others throughout her career, first as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and later as an Ombudsman at AgeSpan, advocating for the elderly with unwavering dedication and compassion. Her love of caring for people was evident in all she did; she always placed the needs of others above her own, embodying a true sense of service.

Beki was one of those people who felt things deeply. She was thoughtful and had a huge heart, especially when she saw injustice or someone who needed a voice. An incredibly talented artist and active member of the Salem Arts Association, Beki channeled her creativity into sewing, creating jewelry, and painting statuettes, using her unique gifts to bring joy and beauty to those around her. She cherished her family—her devoted husband, Joseph (“Joe”) Ferrari; her loving parents, Richard ("Rick") and Patricia ("Patty") Baum; her sister Emilie Blum; and her precious nephews and niece; Jackson, Maverick, and Kira. She was particularly fond of her five feline children, Mika, Cory, Spiro, Gizmo, and Fellini.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Salem Arts Association or Gallows Hill Artist Studios, two vibrant local artist communities dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and fostering the work of artists in Salem and the North Shore community.
