Salem – Phyllis C. Malerba, age 79 years, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family.  Phyllis was born in Boston to the parents of the late Anthony and Rose (Sarro) Malerba.  She was raised and educated in East Boston.

Phyllis was a resident of Lynn for over 30 years and had resided in Salem for the past thirteen years.  She was part of "Team L'Heureux".  She loved being with her daughter, son-in-law, or as she always called him her "Bestie", and two grandchildren.  She went everywhere with them.  She enjoyed vacationing with them at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire, going out to dinner and enjoying the Lobster Fest  they shared as well as many many other family adventures.

Phyllis was employed with Sky Chef at Logan International Airport for many years with her sister Carol.  They were two peas in a pod and were always together.  She retired in 2005.  Phyllis was known for her sarcastically quiet sense of humor and her caring personality.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise L'Heureux and her husband Joseph of Salem, her grandchildren, Joelle and Ross L'Heureux of Salem and many cousins, nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her siblings, Carol and Tom.  She missed them so much she had to go home.

Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St, corner of North St., Salem on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Funeral Services will be held privately at the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House (CareDimensions) 75 Sylvan St., Suite 102B, Danvers, MA 01923.
