Obituary

Philip Charlton Wysor (Phil), born December 9, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, died peacefully in his home on January 19, 2022.  His father, Philip Byars Wysor, was an executive with the Bethlehem Steel Company.  His mother, Marie Christine (Merrill), was a homemaker and librarian.  Phil was predeceased by his brother, Henry Jason Wysor, of Gardiner, Maine, and his sister, Ann Wysor Graham, of Center Strafford, New Hampshire.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deborah Stephenson, 3 wonderful children and their spouses, Adam and Ali Wysor of Amherst, NH, Nathaniel and Phoebe Wysor of Marblehead, and Jessica and Nathaniel Chamberlin of Marblehead, a niece, Dr. Leah Graham Pepper, of Westbrook, Maine, and eight beautiful grandchildren.

Phil enjoyed a highly successful and rewarding career as a lawyer specializing in real estate law and litigation, the last twenty years with Glovsky & Glovsky in Beverly.  He was a graduate of Hebron Academy, Colby College and New England School of Law.  Phil enjoyed skiing, golf, tennis and travel to Europe.  He was also active in Colby College Alumni Affairs, volunteering at Salem Hospital and singing in the Old North Church Festival Chorus.
