Peter Fallon, age 69, of Marblehead, died early Wednesday morning in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Nancy Davis with whom he had celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Born in Salem the son of the late Robert and Elinor (Greist) Duncan, Mr. Fallon was raised in Marblehead. A graduate of Tufts University and the School of the Fine Arts in Boston, he also had served in the Yankee Division of the Massachusetts National Guard. . For over 40 years Mr. Fallon has his advertising agency, The Creative Source in Boston, which specialized in promoting to both the financial and health care industries. He was particularly proud to have both of his sons become inspired to also join the advertising industry, one of which in his agency.
Active in the community Mr. Fallon was the past President of the Marblehead Historical Society and had also served on the Board of Directors of the Marblehead Swampscott YMCA. For many years Mr. Fallon has been the Senior Warden of the Church of the Holy Name in Swampscott. Mr. Fallon had a curious nature and enjoyed reading and gardening as well as spending time with his family. He always looked forward to Kayaking with the grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fallon is survived by two sons William Grattan Fallon and his wife Loretta A. Fernandez, PhD and Matthew Austin Fallon and his wife Lindy L. Aldrich, Esquire all of Marblehead; a brother Robert D. Fallon, MD of Marblehead; a sister in law Bonnie Fallon of Brookfield, VT; three grandchildren who he cherished, Elinor, Naomi, Kathleen and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral services will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Templeman on Saturday, June 13 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Church of the Holy Name, 60 Monument Ave., Swampscott. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem.
