Marblehead – Peter Dorney, age 64 years, died Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.  Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Francis and Rosamond (Bartlett) Dorney.  He was raised in Marblehead and had graduated from Marblehead High School in the class of 1970.  He has been a resident of Marblehead all of his life.

Peter was a commercial fisherman and was the owner of two boats, the "Rozuna" and the "Every Penny".  He enjoyed gill netting and lobstering.  He continued his career with the Town of Marblehead in the Water Department and was Forman for the Department up to the time he had to stop working due to his illness.

Surviving him is his family, his soul mate Kay Monahan, Frank Monahan and his children Shayla "Lucy" Monahan and David Monahan, Christopher Monahan and his wife Stephanie and their daughter Madison "Peanut" Monahan, Pat Peach and her husband Ted and their children Julie Sullivan, Pamela LaPone and Elizabeth Full and many cousins including Janice Gamello, Karolyn Garafalo and Leah Keim.  Also leaves his best friend Mike Mansfield and family and many many friends that will miss him deeply.
