Peter Paul Bimbo, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday April 23, 2026.
Born in Peabody, Massachusetts, Peter was the beloved son of the late Nicolo and Dorothy Bimbo. Peter Shared 52 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Donna.
Peter was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Amy Kesselman and her husband Jeffrey of Lynn, Mass. and Stacey Cunha of Salem Mass. Peter was a cherished grandfather to Jacob and Rachel, who brought him great joy. He lovingly referred to Jacob as his "best friend" and Rachel as "his girl." He is also survived by his brother, Nicolo and his wife Cathy of Salem, Mass, along with many nieces and nephews.
Peter began his early career as a lobsterman, where he developed a lifelong love of the ocean and enjoyed spending time boating with his father. He later went on to build a long and dedicated career at Goodrich Aerospace.
A true jack of all trades, Peter had many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, refurbishing used bicycles, and working with his hands. He was known for his resourcefulness, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. He also found great comfort in the companionship of his beloved dog, Gus.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1 at 12:00 P.M at Murphy Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charitable foundation.
Peter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
