Pearl H. (Taylor) Dixon, age 88, wife of the late Cornelius Dixon, died early Monday morning November 4, 2013 at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. Mrs. Dixon was born in Beverly, daughter of the late George and Emily (Head) Taylor, she had resided in Salem for many years.

Mrs. Dixon enjoyed a long career in waitressing, starting her employment at the Puritan Arms in Salem and continuing at Landolphi's in Danvers. She changed her career and was employed as a Medical Equipment Assembler with Millipore at the Cherry Hill Industrial Park in Danvers until her retirement in 2001.

Surviving her are two daughters, Christine Savino and her husband James, and Pearl Kathleen Iovanne and her huband Rick all of Beverly; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 15 brothers and sisters and her former husband George Westerdahl.

Mrs. Dixon's Funeral will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
