Salem - Pauline J. (Amatucci) Newth, age 89 years, wife of the late Lester J. Newth, Jr, died Tuesday morning October 3, 2023.  Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Fontaine) Amatucci.  She was raised in Salem and graduated from St. Chretienne Academy.  Following High School, she attended Regis College and graduated from Burdett College.

Pauline raised her family and then went to work in the medical field for her entire working career.  She had worked in Orthopedic Offices, Ophthalmology Offices as well as many other medical practices.  Pauline was a fantastic cook and was passionate about her gardening and flowers.  She raised cocker spaniels and Labrador Retrievers at different times of her life.  She also loved nature and watching birds.

She is survived by her beloved family, her daughter Susan Ruane and her partner Keith of Danvers, her son Scott J. Newth and his wife Susan of Wenham, 5 grandchildren Michael, Alyssa, Tiffany, Hannah and Cameron and 4 great grandchildren Gunner, Niamh, Lily and Adriana.

Her funeral service will be celebrated at Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11 am followed by interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne St, Salem.   Relatives and close friends are respectfully invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA  01923.  For additional information or online guest book please call 978-744-0497 or visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com,
