Patrick F. Jinks Sr. passed away July 26, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a long & courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Patrick was the loving husband of Nora M. (Connole) Jinks with whom he shared 59+ years of marriage.

Born in County Sligo, Ireland the son of Mary & John Jinks. He came to the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. He was a proud employee of North Shore and Boston Gas for over 32 years.

A devoted father & grandfather he enjoyed time with his family. He cherished most the time with his four granddaughters - Kathryn, Kristin Sarah & Hannah Jinks.  As they grew he took great joy in their achievements.

He is survived by his wife Nora, daughter Mary of Salem, son Dermot of NY, his son Patrick Jr. and his wife Terry of Salem, and his son Michael and his wife Maria of VA. He leaves his sister Bridget of NH, niece MaryEllen of AK, niece Mary and her husband Martin of Boston and many relatives in Ireland.

Arrangements: Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home Sunday July 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM and be held at St James Church 160 Federal St, Salem, MA 01970 on Monday July 31, 2017 followed by burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the North Shore Moving Market Food Bank or Kaplan Family Hospice House. The Jinks family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the compassionate care from the staff at Grosvenor Park and Kaplan Family Hospice House.
