Patricia A. "Tricia" (Savoie) Duguay, age 49 wife of Gary P. Duguay of Groveland died unexpectedly at home on Monday September 21, 2009.
Born in Beverly, the daughter of the late Jeffrey W. and Elizabeth A. (Grothaus) Savoie. she was raised and educated in Middleton, graduating from Masconomet High School in the Class of 1978. Tricia then became employed by Holyoke Insurance Co. in Salem, MA until she and her husband began their family in Danvers. They later moved to Vermont where they resided for five years, returning to Massachusetts in 1997 to reside in Groveland. For the past 11 years Tricia has been employed by Soucy Insurance in Salem.
Tricia loved traveling to Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, California and the Caribbean. She was a dedicated Red Sox and Patriots fan. Family was the center of her life, and she looked forward to family get togethers at Sunrise Lake in New Hampshire, and Boothbay, ME. Tricia enjoyed entertaining, spending time with family and friends, as well as being avid reader.
In addition to her husband Gary, who is employed at Triple S Machine, she is survived by two sons, Derek Paul Duguay and Craig Oliver Duguay; three brothers and two sisters William Savoie of Williston, VT, Jeffrey Savoie of Colchester, VT, Sharon Rossetti of Vergennes, VT, James Savoie of Milton VT, and Mary Jo DuBois of Williston, VT; her father in law Oliver J. Duguay of Middleton, NH, a sister in law Sharon Duguay of Hercules, CA; her step mother Maria Savoie of Essex, Junction, VT; an aunt Pat Grothaus of Beverly; many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
She was predeceased by her mother in law Nancy Duguay.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Those who wish to make memorial contributions, may do so to a charity of their choice. Interment will be private.
