Obituary

Patricia A. (Marley) Morison beloved Mother, Sister and Grandmother died peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born in Salem January 13, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Francis & Mary (Geraghty) Marley. Pat was a 1948 graduate of Salem High School. She was employed by Delta Electronics in Beverly for 25 years until her retirement in 2001.

Patricia found great joy in spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She loved Christmas shopping for her "girls" and grandchildren. Some of Pat's fondest memories were her trips to Las Vegas with her sisters and brother-in law. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She was an avid Red Sox fan and shared this passion with her sons-in law and grandchildren.

When her daughters were young, Pat was a devoted stay at home mother. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, was active in the PTO at her daughter's schools and also taught religious education. She was a member of the Guild at the Immaculate Conception Church as well as the Bishop Fenwick Booster's Club, helping to run both Bingo Programs.

Patricia is survived by 3 daughters, Kathleen Manuppelli and her husband Robert of Salem; Ellen Allard and her husband Richard of Lynn; Colleen Lassiter and her husband Joseph of Salem, 12 grandchildren; Kristine and Daniel Lassiter, Brian, Trisha, Richard and Daniel Allard, Kevin, Christopher and Katie Palamara, Matthew and Michael Manuppelli, Holly Pellecchia and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters Dorothy Marley of Lynn and Eleanor Melanson of Salem; her former son in law, Joseph Palamara of Salem, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all.

She was predeceased by her sister Carolyn (Marley) Beote and her beloved brother in law J. Oscar Melanson.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann's Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care given by her Hospice team, especially Pam and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Patricia's memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
