Patricia (Corning) Jennings passed away August 16, 2015 after a brief illness at
Lafayette Rehabilitation, Marblehead. She was the daughter of the late Grover and
Susan (Clark) Corning. Raised in Lynn and Swampscott, Patricia was a graduate of
Swampscott High School and Lasell College. She resided in Marblehead for more than
fifty years.
A world traveler, Patricia met her husband, the late George Jennings while touring
England. The couple settled in Marblehead and Patricia was employed in sales for
many years. Her employers included several well known retailers with many years
at Sears.
After George's passing and Patricia's retirement from retail, she embarked on a
second career: buying and selling collectibles and antiques. Patricia searched for
treasures at local yard sales and around the world.
Survivors include several friends and cousins. A graveside service was held on
August 25, 2015, at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead officiated by The Rev.
Andrew J. Stoessel. Arrangements were under the direction of Murphy Funeral
