Obituary

Salem and Beverly, MA – Patricia Ann Hobbs, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2017 at her residence within the Landmark unit of Oceanview in Beverly, MA.  Daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Theriault) Maurais and wife of the late Everett Hobbs, Patricia was born and raised in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.  In addition to raising a family of six children, Patricia worked for Enterprise in downtown Salem, the Salem News circulation department, and alongside her husband Everett at E.W. Hobbs Refreshment Stand at the Salem Willows.
Patricia was a longtime resident of the Salem Willows and truly loved her neighborhood and neighbors.  She was a member of the Juniper Community Club and the Salem Willows Yacht Club. She enjoyed bingo and sailing on the waters of Salem with Everett. She also loved to travel and went with Everett to Bermuda and Turks and Caicos and also went on various trips with her son Kevin.
Patricia is survived by: her son Charles Hobbs of Salem, her daughter Deirdre Morneau and her husband Edmond of Salem, her daughter Priscilla Hobbs of Salem, her daughter-in-law Rosalie Hobbs of Swampscott, her daughter-in-law Lorraine Hobbs, her granddaughter Jaclyn Braatz and her husband Mark, her granddaughter Kristen Morneau Curreri, her granddaughter Jenny Hobbs and her husband Christopher Leblanc, her grandson Jack Hobbs, her granddaughter Marissa Hobbs, her grandson William Hobbs, her great-grandchildren Prestin and Cage Leblanc, her sister Elizabeth MacDowell of Ipswich, and her dear friend Virginia Lavoie of Salem. She was predeceased by her loving husband Everett, her son Kevin Antos, her son Jeffrey Hobbs, and her son William Hobbs.
