Pamela (Pam) Davies Petersen, age 76, formerly of Marblehead and more recently of Beverly, MA died at Beverly Hospital on December 18, 2017. She was born on February 15, 1941 in Boston, MA. She was pre-deceased by her parents Ethel (Eppie) and Harold Davies of Marblehead, MA., and is survived by her Son, Michael Petersen of Atlanta, GA., and several cousins.
She attended Marblehead public schools, graduated from Walnut Hill School, and went on to receive a bachelor's degree at Green Mountain Junior College in Vermont. Her professional career was in collections and employee staffing at AT&T, West Lynn Creamery, GE Capital, and Ranstead, retiring in 2006.
Pam leaves many friends she grew up with and connected with during her life. She liked to go to lighthouse point in Marblehead and always drew comfort from the sea. She was an avid New England Patriots and Red Sox fan. Her son, Mike, was very important to her and every time she had a phone call from him, she had an extra lightness in her voice when connecting with friends and cousins. As one friend said, "All our phones are quiet now." Although she was a private person and lived her life that way, she listened and would always give you an opinion as to your concerns.
Murphy's Funeral home made the arrangements, and a private gathering will be held sometime this spring in Vermont as her ashes are spread by her family.
